As the name suggests, Going am Wilden Kaiser promises spectacular panoramic views of the iconic mountain range of the Wilder Kaiser. Bergdoktor film locations

The Wilder Kaiser is the scene of the well-known TV series "Der Bergdoktor." Every year the new season is filmed in the Kitzbüheler Alps. The four Kaiser towns of Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, and Söll are home to many well-known film locations such as the Gruber family farm, the Bergdoktor's practice, the Wilder Kaiser inn, and the Hintersteiner See. Take a look behind the scenes of the TV series "Der Bergdoktor" during a visit to the filming locations and get to know all the background to the doctor series at the Wilder Kaiser, such as the famous village square in Going am Wilden Kaiser, which was used as the series-restaurant during filming serves.

The Kaiser round tour takes cyclists of all ability levels a good 80 kilometers around the spectacular Kaisergebirge massif. Bathing lake Going am Wilden Kaiser

The Going bathing lake is located right on the edge of the forest with a panoramic view of the Kaiser Mountains. An international jury chose it as the most beautiful natural bathing lake in Tyrol - and not just because it is constantly fed by the springs of the Wilder Kaiser. At the flat, white bathing beach with a separate bay for children and non-swimmers, the water warms up to a comfortable 24 degrees. A hundred-meter-long outdoor slide makes bathing fun and a holiday hit for the whole family.

KitzSkiWelt Tour - The longest ski tour in the world

From the Resterhöhe to Going - from the 2021/22 winter season, the KitzSkiWelt Tour connects the world's best ski area, KitzSki, with the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental. The KitzSkiWelt Tour is 88 kilometers long and takes you past the famous locations of the Wilder Kaiser and the Kitzbühel Alps. In winter as well as in summer, the longest ski circuit in the world invites you to explore the beauty of the Alps and to be embedded in the idyll of the summer flowers or snow-covered alpine meadows.

The legendary white sausage party at the Stanglwirt

Stanglwirt Balthasar Hauser and his family opened the legendary Weißwurst party every year with the exclamation "Weisswurst is!" and the ringing of the 400-year-old Stanglwirt bell. The Stanglwirt family always celebrated the official ceremony together with long-standing celebrity friends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Alfons Schuhbeck. Together with the world-famous Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel, the white sausage party is one of the winter season highlights in and around Tyrol.
